This camera is 1010m above sea level
and 300 metres above Lake Tekapo. Due to the higher altitude, the camera may experience obscuration by
cloud while the lake
and village remain clear below.

Updates are triggered when particular views are selected
on the videocam.
This image is updated
every 5 minutes during daylight hours.
The image randomly captures the view the
videocam is looking at during
the update time.
Images may occasionally appear blurred if the camera
happens to be panning as the image is captured, or if high
winds are present while a large amount of 'zoom' is in
use.
